This committee will conduct district-wide sample surveys for non-reserved categories. The Commission is considering the benefits to the non-reserved categories of the state (sovereigns) for the benefit of reserved category such as Scheduled Caste, Tribe, OBC.
The Commission should conduct a district-wide sample survey in respect of which needs of non-reservation classes and what benefits they should get. In one or two months the report will be submitted to the state government. According to a report, the state currently has 49 percent reservation. Those who get reservation in many schemes of the state and central government. Especially in education and job-employment, they are given special benefits. The agitation started with the demand of reservation to the Patidars by the disgruntled Patanjali disaffected themselves due to the reservation.
