News About - 7th Pay Commission: Latest Updates On Minimum Pay Hike; Check Out Here

A day before the budget of 2018 will be presented in Parliament, the Central Government employees are positive that Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will bring something for them. On the condition of anonymity, a top finance ministry official said that the Government is considering the revision of salary rules under the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission to increase the pay per month for low level Central Government employees for the pay scale. According to The Sen Times, the source said that the government is on track to bring minor changes in salary matrix up to level 5.
In 2016, Jaitley assured the leaders to see their core demand to increase salary and fitness formula.
In July 2016, Jaitley had promised in the Rajya Sabha to increase the salary of central government employees beyond the suggestion of the Seventh Pay Commission.
"The government is going to fulfill the promise of Arun Jaitley to increase the salary of employees till salary matrix level 5 beyond the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission, which will be paid by April," the source further said.
The Council of Ministers had already approved the proposal of the 7th Pay Commission on 29th, 2016 so that the pay scale of 6th Pay Commission can be adjusted to 2.57 times equally.
The 7th pay panel recommended minimum wage of Rs 18,000 per month and maximum salary of Rs 2.5 lakh.
The unions also demanded Rs 18,000 for the minimum wage of Rs 26,000 and they also asked 2.57 times to increase the fitment factor by 3.68 times.
In September 2016, the National Discrepancy Committee was formed to resolve the pay discrepancies.
The Department of Training (DOPT) had issued a letter on October 30 last year that it was said that the demand for increasing the minimum wage and the fitness formula is not considered as an anomaly, so it does not fall within the scope of the NAC. .
Officials further said that the government is going to drop the DOPT letter and implement the commitment, which was made by FM Jaitley to increase the wages of the employees at least.

I. Examinations conducted during the last week
(a) The Commission conducted the Paper-I of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying and Contract) Examination-2017 w.e.f. 22.1.2018 to 29.1.2018. A total of 9,95,350 candidates registered for the examination and 5,70,189 candidates actually took the examination. The result of the said examination would be declared by the Commission on 26.3.2018.
(b) The Commission also conducted Paper-II of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination-2016 on 28.1.2018. A total of 1,59,183 candidates were shortlisted from MTS (NT) (Paper-I) Examination for appearing in this examination, out of which 1,43,657 candidates actually appeared in the examination. The result of the said examination would be declared by the Commission on 31.3.2018.II. Examinations to be conducted by the Commission in the month of February 2018
The Commission would be conducting the following examinations during the month of February 2018 :
(a) Selection Posts Examination (Phase-V) Matriculation Level on 8.2.2018
(b) Selection Posts Examination (Phase-V) Graduate Level on 15.2.2018

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) was constituted in 1972, following the enactment of the Gujarat Secondary Education Act 1972. Its Chairman and Deputy Chairman are appointed by the State Government. It has 16 ex officio members, and 44 other members drawn from academic organizations, legislative bodies and civil society. Various Committees with specific responsibilities function under the Board, such as the Executive Committee, Examination Committee, Finance Committee, Education Committee, and Magazine Advisory Committee.
GSHSEB provides the State Government guidance about the policies governing secondary education, its development and qualitative enhancement. In an overview, its duties are:
Preparing the curricula & syllabi
Registering new Secondary schools and monitoring their performance on a continual basis
Providing developmental guidance
Organising training for teachers and principals-up measures (for instance, to integrate Gujarat's students with the Information Technology-enabled global village, the Board has introduced Computer Studies among regular curricula).
School Education
Both private and government schools operate here in Gujarat. One can also come across schools run by several municipal corporations and trusts in Ahmedabad.
Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board are in charge of the schools run by the state government. However, many of the private schools in Gujarat are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) board. Gujarati is the main medium of instruction in the state-run schools while the schools run by other boards use English as their medium of study.
